Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract this data.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. No personal data is stored.

Login cookies last for 2 days. “Remember Me” extends this to 2 weeks. Logging out removes them. Editing a post creates a cookie with the post ID that expires in 1 day.

Embedded Content

Articles may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). These behave like you visited the other website and may collect data and track your interaction.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely. For registered users, we store personal information in their profile.
